First on the itinerary is the Nyamirambo Womens Center, which is a Rwandan NGO founded by 18 Rwandan women in 2007. Their mission is to provide education and vocational training to women who do not have financial means so that they can gain better opportunities for employment. The Center trains and employs women from the community to create a large variety of clothing and accessories, and home decor products. In the afternoon you will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial or Nyamata and Ntarama Churches and Genocide Memorials. The Kigali Genocide Memorial is a place of remembrance and learning at this final resting place for 250,000 victims of the genocide. The Kigali Genocide Memorial aims to educate people about peace and how to prevent future atrocities. While visiting, you can explore the education center, gardens, and Genocide Archive of Rwanda.
